Overview

An epitome of a tropical destination, the Andaman Islands emerge from the Indian Ocean like emeralds. Holidays in Andaman allow plenty of opportunities to adventure seekers and laid-back travellers alike. Picturesque beaches, crystal clear water and a bit

The best time to visit the Andaman Islands is between the months of September and February. During this time, the weather is pleasant and thus the islands see a huge number of tourists. Also, due to stable and pleasant weather, travellers can enjoy smooth transfers and a number of water-based activities. With breathtakingly beautiful coastline, lush forested interior, fantastic diving possibilities and a far-flung location, the Andaman Islands are a perfect place to ramble around or simply chill out on sun-toasted beaches. While some activities are offered as a part of the Andaman tour packages, others are optional and can be opted after reaching the destination. Floating on the azure waters of Bay of Bengal, the archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar can be reached by airways and waterways only. Travelling by air is the most economical, and the fastest way to reach this paradisiacal land. If tourists wish to travel via waterways, then they have to reach major Indian port cities like Kolkata, Chennai, or Vizag, from where they can board a ship or a cruise for their onward journey to Andaman.
